Central Annamites 2020 multi-stakeholder meeting November 4-5, 2020
Posted on October, 06 2020
WWF-Viet Nam has been implementing a series of projects in the Central Annamites Landscape with the aim to ensure resilient forest landscapes and the conservation of wildlife populations and freshwater ecosystems that support the Central Annamites ecosystem and also brings socioeconomic benefit to communities depending on those crucial resources.
Funded by the Dutch Fund for Climate Development (DFCD), the Central Annamites Landscape was identified as one of WWF´s Asian important areas for landscape intervention. The project seeks to establish a coalition of partners engaging in sustainable landscape development. It identifies "bankable projects", that will generate income while at the same time ensuring improved environmental benefits and social livelihoods.
At this online multistakeholder meeting which will take place on November 4 - 5, progress will be presented on how small cooperatives in Vietnam are attracting private investment, whilst further opportunities will be explored to support landscape restoration in the Central Annamites.
